This erstwhile Take That member has undoubtedly outshone all of his former colleagues, particularly Gary Barlow who was expected to be the solo golden boy after the boy band's demise.

While his success in the UK and Europe has been nothing short of phenomenal, he has yet to conquer America, where his sometimes idiosyncratic performance style and persona has been considered something short of the ultra macho pop-rock norm.

The Robbie Williams bandwagon seems to roll along mainly on the strength of the 'let me entertain you' philosophy, which he certainly does, but possibly at the expense of making a more serious contribution to the pop music catalogue of memorable songs.

Every School Every Thursday -- West Des Moines, Clive, Waukee (The Des Moines Register)
Clive students had the opportunity to explore the connection between performer and academics with Penny and Lee Fugerson Nov. 10-13. Clive has used a Connecting Kids with Culture grant and a Metro Arts grant to finance this artist-in-residence where participants encountered rhythms from around the world. There was an all-school assembly to showcase this intercultural music and movement on Nov. 13.
